Happy tomorrow birthday, *Vampire-knight-90! I drew you a picture.
This is also kinda duel purpose, cause I really kinda need to know... did I draw him right?

The kanji on the right says "Kasei", which is Japanese for Mars (as in the planet. But still.) Also, on a random note, this is the exact ratio to be a wallpaper. And I accidentally made him left handed. But as far as I can tell, he was left handed anyway.
Total time: probably eight hours.

Normally, I wouldn't be all nitpicky about details, since this is a gift and everything, but since you want to know if you drew him right, I'll try to help you out.
Yes. In a word. I'd say you did. If you want to do even better, here are a couple things, you can work on if you feel so inclined.
His hair (are you surprised?). You have drawn it so it looks like a single mass of spikey hair. When I draw it, I think of the spikes as being more individualized. I try to give them all sort of a specific shape. The bangs look good, except for they're a little too neat, and the strands closest to his ears should be longer (past his jaw). I don't know if it would help, or if you'd want me to, but I could draw you a guide to his hair if you like.

The other thing is his face. I like the way you drew it, and I like his expression. But typically Mars has a pretty small nose and full lips, thick eyelashes.
Other than that, it all looks good. I like what he's wearing a lot. I don't draw him wearing red very much. Mostly I draw him in blue or black. But I like the way this looks.
The Kanji is awesome, his pose looks great, I love the way you drew his tail, and the texture and lighting are cool too.
Don't worry about making him left handed--he's ambidexterous. He uses his right hand for his sword and his left hand for his gun.
